Thank You!

The Claiborne County Library’s summer reading program, “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!” finished up with a big party on July 26th with face painting, games, a bounce house and prizes. Children that were enrolled enjoyed lots of activities and entertainment. They also enjoyed the nutrition program provided by Jackie Payne and the UT Extension Office. There was a total of 126 children enrolled and over 5,000 books read!

Mitchell Cosby, chairman of the Claiborne County Library Board, and Debbie Cheatham, library board trustee, recently completed the Tennessee Trustee Certification Program. This program is designed to strengthen local library boards by giving instruction in such areas as finance, policies and bylaws, planning, personnel and advocacy. The program is provided by Tennessee Regional Library System.
